PRIME PLOTS FOR SALE TO MEMBERS AT JOSKA-SUNSHINE
Notice is hereby given to all members that the Management Committee is in the process of subdivision of a parcel of land at Joska/Sunshine 7.5 Km from Joska Town.
Interested members are invited to register and book for the limited plots as shown below;
- Download the registration form from our website mazingirawelfare.org fill and submit the same to the office attaching the necessary documents with a payment of non-refundable registration fee of Kshs.1,100.00.
- An eighth (1/8) acre plot (50 by 100) will be sold to members at a total cost of 475,000.00 (Four hundred seventy five thousand only) which is inclusive of title deed processing costs.
- Booking for a plot is upon payment of a deposit for 300,000.00 (three hundred thousand only) on or before 16th May 2024 and plots will be issued on a first come first served bases.
- The balance of 175,000.00 (one hundred seventy five thousand only) to be paid within three (3) months from the date of balloting (picking of plots numbers)
- Please note that members who had initially paid the deposit and those who will have registered and paid the deposit within the month of February 2024 will be taken to view and ballot for their plots by end of February 2024.
- Members who will register and pay deposit after the month of February 2024 will be advised on a later date of balloting for their plots.
Hurry up and book your plot since we have limited plots to be issued on first come first served basis.

RESOLUTIONS BY MEMBERS DURING THE 23RD AGM
Notice is hereby given to all members that during our last AGM held on 27th August 2022 the following was resolved:
- That the monthly contribution rate be increased from the current rate of Kshs.500.00 to Kshs.700.00.
- That the normal loan ceiling be increased from Kshs.70,000.00 to Kshs.100,000.000 and maximum repayment increased to 24 months.
- That the emergency loan ceiling be increased from the current amount of Kshs.20,000.00 to Kshs.30,000.000 ,repayable in 12 months only.
- That to maintain status quo on refund, where members are refunded 50% of total contributions upon retirement or demise provided they have been active members for a period not less than five (5) years.
- That member who voluntary withdraw from the Association will be refunded 50% of total contributions provided they have been active members for a period not less than ten (10) years.
- That the grants and benevolent funds be increased to new rates as follows;
- Member – Kshs. 35,000.00
- Spouse – Kshs.30,000.00
- Child – Kshs.25,000.00
ADJUSTMENT OF MONTHLY CONTRIBUTION RATE
This is to inform you that during the Last Annual General Meeting held on 27th August, 2022, members resolved that the monthly contribution be adjusted from the current rate of Kshs.500.00 to Kshs.700.00 per month, with a view of raising the loan ceiling from Kshs.70,000.00 to Kshs.100,000.00.
In this regard the Management Committee is in the process of implementing the resolution by members on contribution adjustment to Kshs.700.00 with effect from 1st September, 2022.
Please note that the new loan ceiling of Kshs.100,000.00 will take effect in December 2022 after successful roll out of the contribution adjustment to all our members.

Interested members should collect application forms from the Association’s office (NHIF Building, 11th floor). Duly completed forms should be returned to the Association’s office with a non refundable fee of Kshs.1,000.00 (One thousand only).
Payment can be made by a banker’s cheque or to the Association’s Account No. 1107652499, KCB. Moi Avenue Branch and thereafter submit paying-in slip to facilitate issuance of receipt.
Please note that the plots are few in number hence will be allocated to members on first come- first served basis upon payment of deposit.

WATER PROJECT -KITENGELA PHASE I (NEAR KAG UNIVERSITY)
This is to notify all members that the Association has successfully completed installing a fully equipped borehole in Phase I Kitengela plots. Willing members and neighbors are currently being connected to our water system.
Our charges and connection fees are comparable to none as indicated below;
- Water Connection fee (meter inclusive) is kshs.20,000.00
- Cost per unit is kshs.100.00
Upon registration and payment of applicable fee one will be connected to our water system within ten (10) working days provided all conditions indicated in the registration form are met.
All willing beneficiaries and customers living within the area are invited to apply to benefit from our water connection and supply.

Mazingira Welfare and Sports Association wish to invite quotations to undertake the following assignments on its behalf:
- Resurveying by picking existing beacons and plotting of 32.0 Acres parcel of land and 50.0 Acres parcel of land which are already subdivided into ¼ acre plots, located in Kajiado County
- Approval of the Survey maps by the District Surveyor;
- Preparation and approval of mutations of the same;
- Correction of Title deeds and green cards for three plots in the 50-acre land parcel.
Your quotation should be received in this office (NHIF Building, 11th floor) on or before 6th February 2020 by 5.00 p.m. and it should include the following information:-
- Profile for previous similar assignment with a copy of proof;
- Breakdown of the anticipated cost as well as the total cost for the whole exercise; and
- Timeframe for the whole exercise.

During the last Annual General Meeting held on 17th August 2019, it was resolved that monthly contribution be adjusted from Kshs. 400 to Kshs. 500 per month with a view of raising the loan ceiling from the current amount of KSH. 50,000 to the proposed amount of KSH. 70,000.
This is to inform you that the Management Committee is now in the process of implementing the resolution for adjustment with effect from 1 st October 2019.

This is to notify you that there will be an Annual General Meeting on 17th August 2019 beginning at 10.00 a.m. in the Karura Forest Primary School Dining Hall.
The agenda will be:-
- Prayers, reading the notice convening the meeting and adoption of agenda;
- Confirmation of minutes of the last meeting held on 18th August 2018;
- Matters Arising;
- Chairman’s report;
- Treasurer’s report and presentation of the budget for the year 2019 and forward budget for the year 2020;
- Consideration of Audited Accounts for the year ending 31st December, 2018;
- Resolutions;
- Amendment of the constitution;
- Appointment of Auditor (s); and
- Any Other Business.
Enclosed herewith, please find the minutes of the last Annual General Meeting and audited accounts for the year ending 31st December, 2018 for your information and necessary action. Also the same documents can be found on our website www.mazingirawelfare.org. It would be appreciated if you could arrange to attend the meeting and also be punctual.
Please note that transport will be available to ferry members from KENCOM HOUSE to Karura Forest Primary School Dining Hall and back. All members should, therefore assemble near the Studio One by 9.00 a.m.
This is to inform you that the Management Committee members of Mazingira Welfare and Sports Association, has found it necessary to amend parts of the Mazingira Welfare Constitution, and it’s calling upon the members to send their proposals on areas they would like amended and communicate to the Welfare’s office through the official email address.
All the proposals submitted will be compiled by the Mazingira Welfare office and discussed during the upcoming AGM which will be held in August, 2019.
