NOTICE OF MEETING - MAZINGIRA WELFARE AND SPORTS ASSOCIATION
This is to notify you that there will be an Annual General Meeting on 26th August, 2017 beginning at 10.00 a.m. in the Canteen Hall, Karura.
The agenda will be:
- Prayers, reading the notice convening the meeting and adoption of agenda;
- Confirmation of minutes of the last meeting held on 20th August, 2016;
- Matters Arising;
- Chairman’s report;
- Treasurer’s report and presentation of budget for the year 2017 and forward budget for the year 2018;
- Consideration of Audited Accounts for the year ending 31st December, 2016;
- Resolutions;
- Election of committee members;
- Appointment of Auditor (s); and
- Any Other Business.
I am enclosing the minutes of the last Annual General Meeting and audited accounts for the year ending 31st December, 2016 for your information and necessary action. It would be appreciated if you could arrange to attend the meeting and also be punctual.
Please note that transport will be available to ferry members from KENCOM HOUSE to KARURA and back. All members should, therefore assemble near the Studio One by 9.00 a.m.
The attached notice of the meeting should be pinned on your notice boards for general information.
BY MANAGEMENT
This is to convey the decision of the Management Committee that from December 2015, closing date for receiving the loan application will be 15th of every month so that they are considered the following month.
In this regard, closing date for receiving the loan applications which will be considered in January 2016 will be on 15th December 2015.
These changes will apply until further notice and therefore all the members are requested to take note so as to avoid any inconvenience.
This is to convey the decision of the Management Committee that from 8th December 2015 any employer who will have failed to remit the deductions made from the staff payroll towards Mazingira Welfare and Sports Association to the Welfare account, the loan applications, grants and refund of 50% contribution emanating from such Ministries/Departments/Institutions will not be considered.
You are therefore requested to ensure that any deductions made on your salary towards Mazingira Welfare and Sports Association is remitted to the Welfare account promptly.
Indicated here below are Ministries/ Departments/ Institutions that have not remitted monthly contributions and loan recoveries:
Mazingira Welfare plots deposit reduced due to members demand.
Members can now pay a deposit of KES. 100,000.00 for the plots that the welfare is selling past KBC along Kangundo road and pay the balance of KES. 180,000.00 in reasonable installments, so as to complete within six (6) months after allocation.
We have a number of plots remaining to be sold. Interested members are welcomed.
This is to inform you that the Association has bought a piece of land at NGULUNI (Machakos) 8 Kms from KANTAFU,off Kangundo Road which will be subsequently sub-divided into 1/8 plots and sold to the members at the cost of Kshs.280,000.00(Two hundred eighty thousand only). In this regard, the Management Committee has decided that the interested members should buy application forms from the Association’s office NHIF Building, 11th floor,Room No.1126 at the cost of Kshs. 100.00 (One hundred only) within thirty (30) days from 2ndJune, 2015 to 1st July 2015.
